Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CyberInterviewPrep ("Platform", "Service", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

CyberInterviewPrep provides cybersecurity interview practice (including AI-driven simulations), CV/resume review, and certification-style quests. Features, content, and availability may change. We do not guarantee specific outcomes (e.g. job offers) from using the Service.

3. Account and Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Use of the Service

You agree to use the Service responsibly and not to misuse it. In particular, you agree that you will not:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Share, sell, rent, sublicense, or transfer your account or login credentials (one account is for one individual user).
• Circumvent access controls, rate limits, paywalls, or any technical measures intended to protect the Service.
• Use bots, scrapers, automation, or other non-human methods to access, copy, extract, or index the Service (including AI outputs) without our written permission.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or recreate our prompts, evaluation rubrics, question banks, scoring, or underlying platform logic.
• Overload, interfere with, or disrupt the Service, including by initiating excessive requests, probing vulnerabilities, or attempting denial-of-service behavior.
• Upload or submit content that is illegal, infringing, harmful, or that you do not have rights to use.
• Use the Service to generate content intended to facilitate wrongdoing (e.g., bypassing security controls in real environments) outside of lawful, authorized, educational use.

We may monitor usage patterns for fraud, abuse, and security. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.

5. Credits, Payments, and Refunds

Some features require paid credits or other paid access. By purchasing, you authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge the provided payment method for the amounts displayed at checkout, including any applicable taxes.

5.1 Credits

• What credits are: Credits are a pre-paid unit used to access certain paid features (for example, mock interviews). The credit cost of a feature will be shown in the product UI.
• No cash value: Credits are not currency, have no cash value, and are not transferable between accounts.
• No resale: You may not resell credits or bundle them with other services.
• Expiry: Unless stated otherwise at purchase, credits do not expire. We may retire or replace features; if that occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to provide an equivalent use of credits.

5.2 Refund policy (anti-abuse)

We aim to be fair. However, we will not allow abuse of refunds, chargebacks, or repeated “free usage” patterns.

• Refund window: You may request a refund within 14 days of purchase.
• Substantial use: Refunds may be denied if you have substantially used paid features after purchase. “Substantial use” includes (without limitation) consuming a meaningful portion of credits, generating extensive AI outputs, repeated CV analyses, or otherwise receiving a comparable amount of paid value.
• Refund abuse: We may deny refunds and/or limit future purchases/refunds if we detect patterns such as repeated refunds across multiple accounts, account sharing, coupon abuse, or other behavior intended to obtain paid value without paying.
• Processing: Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing time depends on your bank/payment provider.

5.3 Chargebacks and payment disputes

• Contact first: If you have a billing issue, contact support before initiating a chargeback so we can help resolve it quickly.
• Chargeback abuse: If you initiate a chargeback after receiving paid value, we may suspend your account, revoke credits, and restrict future access to paid features, to the extent permitted by law.
• Investigation: We may request information to verify a claim (e.g., transaction metadata, timestamps, account ownership).

5.4 Manual payment submissions

If manual payment is offered, you agree to provide accurate payment evidence. Submitting false, misleading, or recycled payment evidence is fraud and may result in immediate suspension/termination and denial of refunds.

5.5 Pricing and changes

We may change pricing, packages, and credit rules from time to time. Changes apply prospectively unless otherwise required by law.

6. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, content, and technology (excluding your submitted content), is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our materials without permission. Certificates and credentials you earn may be used for personal or professional purposes in line with our guidelines.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is". We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. AI-generated feedback and content are for practice only and do not constitute legal, career, or professional advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we (and our affiliates, officers, and employees) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.
